Performance Cancellations

PERFORMANCE CANCELLATIONS

  • Winning Works (March 20 - 22, 2020)
  • Center Stage performance (April 17, 2020)
  • Don Quixote (April 22 - May 3, 2020)
  • Manon (October 14 - 25, 2020)
  • The Nutcracker (December 5 - 27, 2020)

Visit our online form for more information about how to convert your tickets. Please note that if we do not receive a response by August 1, 2020, all ticket purchases will be saved as a credit to your Joffrey account, to be used for a future purchase.

We thank you for your continued loyalty as a subscriber to the Joffrey. Therefore, it is with profound regret that we announce the difficult decision to cancel all performances for the remainder of 2020. That includes the first show of our subscriber season, Manon (October 14 - 24, 2020), and our annual production of The Nutcracker (December 5 - 27, 2020). It has become painfully clear that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to compromise the health and safety of large gatherings.

The loss of The Nutcracker alone - more than half of our annual earned revenue - is a devastating financial reality. Recovery will not be easy. The disruption to our season has serious financial implications for the long-term future of the Joffrey. We will depend on our loyal audience to keep us operations, to keep dance alive. We once again ask you to consider donating your Manon tickets and any Nutcracker add-ons back to the Joffrey.

We do not ask lightly, and we want to acknowledge and thank you for your continued devotion. We realize a dollar needs to stretch even further these days for everyone. Please know that any contribution you make to the Joffrey is never taken for granted, and that we accept it with humbleness and immeasurable gratitide.

This is a challenging moment in our history. Know that our goal is to preserve the Joffrey in its fullest form, that no stone is going unturned. We will endure this crisis and look forward to seeing you at the theater this winter and spring.

Sincerely,

P.S. The stage may be dormant, but our artists are not. In lieu of live performances, the Joffrey is expanding its digital presence and will bring the magic of dance to you virtually. Stay tuned.
