An Important Message Regarding the Covid-19 Virus

An Important Update on the COVID-19 Outbreak

The Joffrey has been closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 here in Chicago and abroad.

With the safety and security of Joffrey staff, artists, students and patrons as our priority, and in accordance with a state-wide mandate by Governor JB Pritzker and Mayor Lori Lightfoot, we have cancelled all spring semester Academy classes, the Academy's spring performance of Giselle and our Center Stage celebration, and we are postponing the performances of Don Quixote until further notice. Community Engagement classes are following the CPS guidelines. We continue to assess the situation in real-time with local officials.

In addition, as a precautionary measure and with everyone’s safety top of mind, we have decided to close Joffrey Tower through April 7. It is important that we follow the advice of health officials and practice social distancing to the best of our ability.

We ask for patience as we navigate an unprecedented situation.
