Travel to Paris by way of the Four Seasons for an unforgettable afternoon.
In addition to staging some of our favorite cultural events each year, the Joffrey Ballet also sponsors the Boeing Bridge Program, an organization designed to bring ballet into Chicago’s public schools.
Don’t miss the company’s Parisian-themed luncheon, dubbed “Lunch at Maxim’s: Celebrating The Merry Widow”
(February 11), which supports the Boeing Bridge Program. Modeled after
the renowned French restaurant, the event takes place at the luxe Four
Seasons and offers Gallic cuisine, a raffle and more.
The event marks the launch of the Joffrey’s latest ballet—The Merry Widow—which
tells the love story between the widow Hanna Glawari and Count Danilo.
The tale takes place in turn-of-the-century Paris and features intricate
costumes, a stunning score and plenty of can-can dancers.
Tickets for the luncheon (from $250) come with perks such as opening
night seats and a meeting with choreographer Ronald Hynd. Plus, all
attendees will receive a 10 percent discount on tickets to the show. All
proceeds benefit the Boeing Bridge Program. Call 312-386-8921 for tickets and more information
