Join The Joffrey Ballet for a night of fashion, cocktails, auctions, dinner and dancing on Friday, September 23rd as the Women’s Board hosts the most stylish event in Chicago.

The annual COUTURE & COCKTAILS, will be held at The Hudson located at 2222 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago.  Co-chaired this year by Kristina McGrath and Rebecca Besser, this glamorous fall event will feature internationally known fashion designer David Meister and a dramatic full-runway fashion show co-presented by Neiman Marcus Michigan Avenue.  Along with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, guests will enjoy a silent and live auction and, of course, dancing with Joffrey company members. The event will launch The Joffrey Ballet’s 2011-12 season.

The Joffrey is thrilled to be the first institution to host a major event at The Hudson, a new and exclusive venue that will provide the perfect setting for the stunning evening. The 115,000 square foot space, located one block west of McCormick Place, is an incredible raw loft building which will be transformed by the haute design of W. Andrew Holitik into the be and be seen event of the season.

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with an exclusive VIP party sponsored by Moet & Chandon and Belvedere, where guests will mix and mingle with fashion designer David Meister while enjoying delectable cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.  Patron guests are invited to join the party at 7:00 p.m., enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and peruse the fabulous silent auction items.  At 8:00 p.m., guests will enjoy a riveting live auction highlighting items like a PGA Masters Tournament getaway for four people and a Los Angeles experience with The Joffrey Ballet and David Meister.  The auction will be followed by the featured David Meister Fall collection fashion show as well as select men’s wear looks from Neiman Marcus Michigan Avenue. After the show, guests will dance the night away with the Joffrey Company dancers.

Tickets for the evening are priced at $1,000 for Model Chic tickets, $500 for All-Star tickets and $275 Patron tickets. The Model Chic and All-Star tickets will include fabulous extras at the event, including the exclusive VIP cocktail party.

About Couture and Cockails
The event has grown exponentially in size since its inception and has always included Chicago’s business, civic and social elite. Last year, nearly 600 guests attended Couture & Cocktails at the W Hotel Chicago - City Center, and this year the Joffrey anticipates the same level of support and enthusiasm.  Past featured designers include Carmen Marc Valvo, Pamella Roland, Maria Pinto, Temperley London and Escada.  This year’s event sponsors include Neiman Marcus Michigan Avenue, CelebTV, Michigan Avenue magazine, Intersport, McGrath Imports, United Airlines, Moet & Chandon and Belvedere.

In 2010, Couture & Cocktails raised more than $260,000 for The Joffrey Ballet’s programs and performances which help sustain the artistic innovation and elegance that are synonymous with the Joffrey name. Gifts to Couture & Cocktails also provide dance and educational opportunities to thousands of Chicago students. This year’s goal is just over $280,000.
