THE JOFFREY BALLET PRESENTS THE SEVENTH ANNUAL

COUTURE & COCKTAILS

The Women’s Board of The Joffrey Ballet Invites You to the Most Fashionable Event of the Season

Chicago (August 2012) – Join The Joffrey Ballet for a night of fashion, cocktails, auctions, dinner and dancing on Friday, September 28th as the Women’s Board hosts their must attend style event along the Chicago River.

The annual COUTURE & COCKTAILS will be held at the new and beautiful McGrath Acura of Downtown Chicago, located at 1301 N. Elston. Co-chaired by Kristina McGrath for the third straight year, and Sonya Y. Jackson, this glamorous fall event will feature internationally known fashion designer and Joffrey Women’s Board Member, Pamella Roland DeVos, and a dramatic full-runway fashion show co-presented by Neiman Marcus Michigan Avenue. Along with cocktails and creative cuisine, guests will enjoy a silent and live auction and, of course, dancing with Joffrey company members. The event will launch The Joffrey Ballet’s 2012-13 season.

The Joffrey is thrilled to host their first event in the newly completed McGrath Acura of Downtown Chicago along the shores of the Chicago River, providing the perfect setting for the dazzling evening. The new showroom will be transformed by the talented design of Ivan Carlson into Chicago’s hautest fashion event of the year.

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail and heavy hors d’oeuvre reception featuring Skinnygirl Cocktails, where guests will mix and mingle with fashion designer Pamella DeVos. At 7:30 p.m., guests will enjoy a riveting live auction followed by the featured pamella roland fashion show, which will be showing her Spring 2013 line. Beginning at 9:00 p.m. through Midnight, as an additional benefit for all attendees, some of Chicago’s most popular Food Trucks will offer their fare during the Dance Party, while guests boogie the night away with the Joffrey Company dancers.

For the first time, The Joffrey Ballet is partnering with Luxury Garage Sale for an exquisite silent auction. Carefully curated auction items will be available to view on LGS’s website prior to the event. Additionally, Luxury Garage Sale will host a post-event online auction featuring select event items as well as newly solicited items. Proceeds from the auctions will benefit The Joffrey Ballet programs and performances.

Tickets for the evening are priced at $1,500 for Supermodel VIP tickets, $600 for VIP tickets and $300 for General Admission tickets. The Supermodel and VIP tickets will include fabulous extras at the event, including the exclusive VIP cocktail party. All ticket holders are invited to the Food Truck and Dance Party. Additionally, as a more affordable option, Joffrey supporters can exclusively purchase Dance Party tickets for $150.

Sponsorship packages feature luxurious perks like hair and makeup the day of the event, a full page ad in the program and VIP treatment, as well as excellent marketing and entertainment opportunities for participating organizations. Packages include the Supermodel VIP package for $15,000 and the VIP package for $6,000.

In 2011, Couture & Cocktails raised more than $280,000 for The Joffrey Ballet’s programs and performances which help sustain the artistic innovation and elegance that are synonymous with the Joffrey name. Gifts to Couture & Cocktails also provide dance and educational opportunities to thousands of Chicago students. This year’s goal is to meet if not exceed that same amount of financial support.
