Joffrey update: These are tough times for all artists. But the 2009-2010 season provided some encouraging news for the Joffrey Ballet. Despite a $14.2 million-budget, the largest in its history, the troupe just closed its fiscal year in the black for the first time since 2005. This in a season that boasted its share of risk, including the full-length "Othello" and bold new works from James Kudelka and Jessica Lang.
