The Joffrey Ballet held its Annual Spring Gala on Friday, April 29th
at the Auditorium Theater at Roosevelt University. The Joffrey Ballet
has become one of the world's most revered and recognizable
organizations in America and one of the top ballet companies in the
world. With tickets priced at $600 a person and $6,000 to $25,000 a
table, the Gala raised $1.3 million for the company. The evening began
with a cocktail reception, followed by the event’s first live auction.
The guests then received a private program featuring selections from
Artistic Director Ashley C. Wheater, the crowd-favorite Exelon Strobel Touring Troupe, and new choreography from Creative Force.
The night ended at the Palmer House Hilton, where guest enjoyed
cocktails, dinner and dancing to music by the City Lights Orchestra.
