Alexis Polito



Alexis Polito joined The Joffrey Ballet as an Arpino Apprentice in 2005, and was promoted to full company member in 2006. Ms. Polito began her ballet training at the of age seven at The Joffrey Ballet School in New York and continued her studies at the School of American Ballet and The Washington School of Ballet under the instruction of Victoria Leigh and Rudolf Kharatian. She also attended summer programs at the School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theatre in New York. In 2004 Ms. Polito won the Phillip Jerry Memorial Scholarship.


Since joining The Joffrey Ballet, Ms. Polito has performed roles in The Nutcracker (Spanish), Cinderella, Giselle, The Dream, George Balachine’s Stravinsky Violin Concerto, Jerome Robbin’s The Concert, Jessica Lang’s Crossed, James Kudelka’s PRETTY Ballet, and Gerald Arpino’s Reflections.
