Jenny Winton began dancing with The Joffrey Ballet in 2009. Ms. Winton began ballet at age 6 at the San Francisco Ballet School and trained there on full scholarship. Under Pascal Leroy, Shannon Breshnahan and Parish Maynard.

In 2001, she was featured in San Francisco Ballet’s Nutcracker as Clara and performed other child roles throughout the years.

In 2008 she was invited to join the second company of the Pennsylvania Ballet. She was featured in The Four Temperaments, Tchaikovsky pas de deux, Pàquita, White Swan, and Giselle. She also performed with the main company in such roles as Ballo de la Regina and Push comes to Shove. In March 2009 she choreographed and danced featured roles in Pennsylvania Ballet’s benefit performance for MANNA.

In 2009, she attended the Jacobs Pillow program in Becket, MA. where she performed a premiere work by Victor Plotnikov, as well as a lead role in The Kermesse in Bruges, Le Corsaire, and La Bayadere. She was granted the Professional Advancement Award in Dance by Anna-Marie Holmes and JR Glover.

Within the past three years Jenny has performed in many Joffrey performances including Carousel: A Dance, The Nutcracker, Othello, Cinderella, PRETTY Ballet, Stravinsky Violin Concert and The Concert.
