Katherine Minor joined The Joffrey Ballet in 2011. Born in Grenoble, France but a native of Portland, Oregon, Katherine began classical dance training at age five at The School of Oregon Ballet Theatre, under Damara Bennett. At the age of twelve she trained for one year at the Paris Opera Ballet School. In 2006, she attended the summer intensive at School of American Ballet in New York.

 

Katherine was offered an apprenticeship at Oregon Ballet Theatre in 2010, and was featured in company productions of The Four Temperaments, Emeralds, The Nutcracker, and Sleeping Beauty. Since joining The Joffrey Ballet, Katherine has danced in Yuri Passokhov's Don Quixote as Cupid, and in The Nutcracker as Clara.
