Meghann Mueller

Originally from the Chicago area, Meghann began her early dance training at the Evanston School of Ballet under the direction of Kerry Hubata. She continued her training in ballet at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts and the Lou Conte Dance Studio, as well as The Joffrey Ballet and on scholarship at the Milwaukee Ballet. Meghann continued her dance education at Texas Christian University where she had the opportunity to perform works by TCU faculty members, as well as by several guest artists including Elizabeth Johnson, Dana Nicolay, and TCU Choreographer in Residence Fernando Bujones. Meghann’s choreographic aspirations took off in 2006 when her work, Narrow Anguish, was performed at the American College Dance Festival in the adjudicated concert. She graduated from TCU, magna cum laude, with a BFA in Dance and a BA in History and returned to Chicago. In 2008, Meghann founded Project606 Dance, which has since been active in the Chicago arts community.  Her choreography has been presented in every Project606 performance, including those at Stage 773, Hamlin Park Fieldhouse Theater, Ruth Page Center for the Arts, Athenaeum Theatre and KSI Gallery. While not dancing and choreographing for Project606, Meghann teaches aspiring dancers throughout the Chicago area and is on faculty at the Evanston School of Ballet, Dancenter North and DancEd Dance Centre. She is thrilled to be a part of the Joffrey Academy of Dance.
